It is an ordinary Friday, on the 22nd day of April 2022. People are going about their usual businesses for the better part of the day. Drastically, a nonexistent dark cloud of somber mood falls and engulfs the nation. The mainstream and social media is awash with images and video clips of former President Emilio Mwai Kibaki. Conversations about a man very humble yet larger than life due to the indelible footprints he left behind through his transformative leadership. President Kibaki is irrefutably best president Kenya has ever had in terms of economic development and democratic governance.
Apart from bringing an economic overhaul that set Kenya in line with the best economies in Africa, he also transformed education immensely. A very learned and competent economist himself, president Kibaki believed in education as one of the best ways to bring equality and socio-economic progress to any developing country. Therefore, he opened doors to free primary school education and the establishment of the CDF kitty that would finance education and building of classrooms among other developments at constituency level. He also expanded the number of public universities from the earlier number of five to twenty two across the country.
In addition, many colleges and training institutes also mushroomed, during and after Kibaki’s tenure, leading to increase in access to education and skills acquisition. Consequently, this has led to a population that has well skilled and educated workforce and this has in turn trickled down to improved livelihoods among the Kenyan households. Since President Kibaki stood to be the giant in whose shoulders we have stood, his legacy leaves on. We at The Top Rose Beauty College shares the fundamental believe in power of an educated and skilled youth. Therefore we continue the legacy of President Kibaki by producing a highly skilled workforce ready to be absorbed by already highly demanding beauty industry.
Intake is ongoing at our Kastemil Business Center campus along Thika Superhighway. We welcome you apply with us and to tell a friend. As for Kibaki, we say Hail to the fallen giant, may his soul rest in eternal peace.
